October 2023

Now Rapid Airgun Training has closed for the winter reopening mid-April 2024, it's time to venture out to break a few clays at Mickley Hall Shooting School, based in Nantwich, Cheshire. The weather looked very promising today, so why not!

The emphasis is on breaking a few clays, well 30/50 for me is a little below my average, room for continued improvement!

My shooting partner, Mike came along for the clay-breaking session, he has only shot a few times with me in the summer so, 18/50 is very reasonable for a novice shooter, most were difficult targets or so we thought.

I’m not a clay shooting instructor but, I have introduced a fair few folk to the sport, some have gone on to purchase their own shotguns and continued with the sport. It is quite rewarding to see people take up shooting at any level or discipline.

Owning and running Rapid Airgun Training it is the feedback from first-time shooters that makes it all worthwhile.

Looks like Mike has got the bug! A few professional lessons I expect are on the way with Scott, the owner of MHSS.

Like all shooting sports you need to practice regularly to keep your eye in, not shooting often your scores drop, well mine do.

Hopefully another session next week!
